Derby Fashions for LESS!

Derby is one of the most exciting times of the year in Louisville, and can be one of the most expensive to dress for!  Having said that, I have to share my exciting finds for an inexpensive way to dress for oaks and derby.  With the help of a fabulous friend of mine, Tina Kute Sexton, the consignment store Sassy Fox in St. Matthews became a fashion show runway for derby outfits at a very reasonable cost.  Our first look is a black & white halter dress ($16) with flower embroidery, pink hat ($70) and red shoes ($16).
Next look is by J.Crew for $38, also comes in coral.  Strapless lightweight fabric, perfect for a hot day at the derby or oaks.  Paired with red show stopper shoes and you'll be a stand out in the crowd ;)
Third look is my FAVORITE!  sorry ladies this look was actually purchased by the fab Tina today ;) However there are many similar classic styles to be found if you visit the Sassy Fox!
this black dress was a steal at $58, shoes by Anne Michele for $8!
The fourth look is a beautiful blue belted dress, that I somehow forgot to write down the designer and price, oops.  However, it's a gorgeous find and even more striking in person.  A must see!
Lastly we have a red Alice & Olivia dress for $58, this dress is beautiful!

Also found are these amazing floral shoes by Betsy Johnson for $45 and an incredible variety of derby hats that are in the mid $50's price range.

On a side note, if you aren't in the market for a derby find, but a great pair of jeans for around $42 then visit Sassy Fox!  I found a great selection of Seven jeans, True Religion, Tag, Paper Denim and Paige!  The finds are amazing and in perfect condition! No one will ever know you paid $42 for a pair of one of these trendy jeans!  Available in a variety of sizes, the jeans pictured below are size 27.
I couldn't believe my eyes, pretty sure Tina is still shocked, that there was a selection of Tracy Reese jackets, St. John and Milly dresses with the tags still on them!  All beautifully tailored and elegant finds.  A great selection of Lily Pulitzer also, actually you might just need to stop into Sassy Fox and see for yourself.  It was a great day for fashion ;)
I also stopped into my favorite boutique Collections.  I'll fill you in on those amazing finds tomorrow!

  1. Holy cow! I like the clothes but where did you get that "model"? Those have to be the ugliest feet I have ever seen in my entire life! If you really want people to buy your stuff then stop using trolls to "model" your clothes.
